Contact our church for details: fccoffice@charter.net or 618-654-4241.
Located in Crandon, WI., this mission serves members of the Chippewa and Potowatomi Indians. Their purpose "is to propagate the Gospel of Jesus Christ in establishing churches, conducting Vacation Bible Schools, Bible Camps, Bible Study Classes, and preaching services." They also run the New Hope Christian School, and Don is involved in a good deal of one-on-one evangelism, counseling and encouraging with the Indian men. Don and Teleka began their ministry in 1976 and have been there to the present time. Their staff has grown in recent years, and Don, therefore, also handles some administration and staff oversight responsibilities. Every winter, the First Congregational Church collect gloves, hats, scarves, and mittens for this ministry to distribute (the annual "Mitten Tree"), and we also collect Campbell's Soup labels and box tops to earn equipment for the school (note the collection box in the hall).
