GLOBAL & LOCAL MISSIONS

The Global & Local Missions Ministry is a combination of both global (regional, national, and international) and local (Highland area) missions. It is our purpose to set up and carry out the local evangelism and worldwide mission program of the congregation and to give direction and meaning to Christ's "Great Commission" (Matthew 28:19-20). Our goal is to have a Christ-centered attitude while meeting the needs of others (Mathew 25:31-46) and bringing them the Good News of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ (Mark 16:15), (Romans:10:11-15).

Mission Statement

To serve and evangelize others with the love of Jesus in such a way that our church would be missed if we did not exist.

Local Missions

First Congregational Church loves being active in the Highland Community. We are not limited to supporting only RPOC and HACSM locally. We are also involved in other activities and events and chartiable organiztations. A few of these are as follows:

  • Various Highland parades

  • PBJ Fest

  • The 2011 Marriage Conference with speaker Jill Savage of Hearts at Home

  • The Highland Community Easter Service

We are looking forward to a year of service and community outreach in 2012. We plan on continuing some of out past missions projects and anticipate many new and exciting ones as well. Look in the weekly announcements at church for upcoming activities and opportunities to support and be involved in the Global and Local Missions Ministry.
